The days WERE & The days ARE...

Everyone was so caring,
I never felt alone,
No time to think of myself,
Infact they did it for me,
Coz those WERE the days....

I had people who were meant for me,
I had someone to share with,
I had someone to cry for,
I had many to laugh with,
I was heartedly happy,
Coz those WERE the days....

I knew the clock is running fast,
I would be left all alone to fight,
Now no-one is there to hold my hands,
No-one is there to see my love,
These ARE the days....

Beside me all are standing,
Besides this no-one is understanding,
All are happy, they have got their share,
I've one thing to do,Just glare,
These ARE the days....

I know the clock is running fast,
This span will come to an end,
I will come out with empty hands,
The gap between my fingers are void,
I deadly want to learn to avoid,
Coz these ARE the days....

Two nights at Habitat Center :)

On 18th and 19th January 2009 was scheduled our 1st International Conference on New Frontiers in Biofuels. 16th morning I and Niru had to leave for New Delhi. We had our train at 10am but FORTUNATELY it was just 11 hours late. We boarded Poorva Express at 9pm hoping it wont delay anymore. Thanks to "Didi" the train still fetched 5 more hours and instead of reaching ND on Sunday morning we reached Monday morning 2:30am. The very same day we had our conference presentation at INDIA HABITAT CENTER.
We lodged at International Youth Hostel..with a class hospitality and left for the conference at 8am. Every thing was so big and classy, we were like ants among dinosaurs. Inauguration started and there comes the first "Totta" of delhi on stage. Camera's full focus on that chic and soon the technical sessions started...our slot was in evening. Took 'Heavy Tea' and left for shopping...heheee.
There we went to Janpath n behisaab shopping ki:)...Later in the evening we came back to India Habitat Center. Our presentation time was coming nearer and nearer...V were quite nervous as those White faces seemed to be brilliant researchers (oops m not Racist!!). They came in front of us and the fucking thing was they were not ready to listen to anyone's explanation. We were very depressed.

But something else was waiting for us...During the dinner time there were 4 stalls with heavenly tasty foods...but among those one contained the max crowd...we went and saw, and that brought holla smile on our faces- RUM, VODKA, WHISKY....ya allah. Bas fir kya tha jaam se jaam takraye aur shaam rangeen ho gayi...den we left for International Youth hostel...had a foto session there :).
In our hostel we were surrounded by some noble people from different parts of the world. Had good experience talking to them. Again left for India Habitat Center....We got the final proceeding book in our hands there, we opened it n saw out of thousands of papers accepted for the conference only 59 were publiched...I knew we had no chance..I just gave a look to the contents page on all the 59 Authors n closed the book. Suddenly Niru shouted "Bhai see the 29th no. Authors"...i swept through the contents again and the biggest of all the surprise this trip could give us was inked there..it was our paper,,,jus then was announced the arrival of The Honorable Chief Minister of Delhi--Smt Sheila Dixit and General Secretary of Delhi. Wooh.... we were damn excited on her arrival and got momento for the same and we were jumping on our seats...lol.
At 7pm again we were invited for High Tea...there we had talks to a lot of researchers n NGOs of different countries..got their personal contacts too and finally after taking our certificated we left yet again for Shopping...to Lajpat this time and at the end after 2 day shopping i ahd some 8-9 set of clothes with me:).

For the first time I went to KFC...had that Large bucket of yummyy Chicken.. :)
Indian railway was again going to torture us as we had our train nxt morning 7am. Aur aakhirkaar Indian railway ne mera bharosa tuutne nahi diya...again the train was 9 hours late. :(:(

"Waah re Zindgi"--n thats a Mentos Zindgi :)

What ever happens, Happens for good... in fact if something wrong happens that also carries a positive motto behind it !!
Year 2009 was a 'Learn to smile' year for me. Now you might be thinking "Shanky still learning to smile"...hmm well m talking about smiling in unfavorable conditions.
Year 2009 has taught me to just smile in troubles and quietly say "Waah re Zindgi". Life take many turns, sometimes you may feel you were not wrong but you suffered. Like me many others get irritated at such situations and become angry but no one thinks that this situation or suffering was meant for us to learn a lesson.

Room-224,Hall-2,N.I.T. Durgapur>> Residents- Watti, Jagga, Psycho and myself. We always pulled each others leg in fun and none of us ever felt bad. Soon these jokes became 'intensional comments' for me. I felt very irritated and never realized my mistake. Soon this irritation turned into anger and one day it busted on Jagga. He then explained why he used to pass those sarcastic comments- At times i used to pull his leg in public which he took personally and got angry on me and started playing Tit of Tat. I was still angry and we dint talk for weeks. Now here I learnt to SMILE-Waah re Zindgi and learnt the limits of leg pulling.

Many of us get irritated with our parents. Almost every time it happens that mine and my dad's ideas and thinking clashes. I always felt that he was wrong but if some one looks from his point of view he was never wrong. Now whenever I am angry on him I speak to my mind-"Waah re Zindgi, najane iss baar tu kya sikhayegi" and the process of learning LIFE continues.

A true Philosophy(of my own..hehee)--If you are not in healthy terms with a friend (may be your GF/BF) or relatives then the first thing-#You are responsible--now the question is how??--Ans: Either you were directly wrong or the other person was wrong and you could not correct him in time-So ultimately the fault was yours#
The second thing-#You dint follow 'Ignorance is bliss'- you never tried to ignore the misunderstandings or faults of that person and dint give an attemp to start it all new-Again your fault ultimately# STOP BLAMING OTHERS, its your life, you are the director of the 'play'...if you blame others for your life that means you are simply a puppet acting in the life's play!!

At the end of year 2009 I saw some changes- Now Whenever I am uncomfortable (with people) or feel like blaming god to put me in some troubling situation, I whisper to myself "Waah re Zindgi" and remain calm for some seconds. This way every time I confronted a reality-""You and only You are responsible for every bad turn in your life""
In some situations you may not be wrong at all but still it can be a windstorm for you..I will only suggest dont get irritated, God wants you to face it, God wants to make you stronger, God wants to teach you wrest happiness from L.I.F.E.
Life is like a mirror, it simply reflects your deeds. If you are right, hard working, truthful then sooner or later you will receive the reflected rays in form of some healthy reward. But if your deeds are not worth then never expect life to reflect Dollars. If you want others to be happy, first make yourself happy in the worst of worsts. Smile too follows 'Laws of reflection'...Your smile will be reflected back on other's face.

This post is dedicated to (from right to left)- Jagga, Watti, Psycho and myself--"The four mastikhors". I hope my friends will alwayz keep on teaching me 'learning by changing' and m so thankful to them for making me smile althrough the horny bushes.
Dont say CHEESE...say WAAH RE ZINDGI and thats the real mentos zindgi..Apne dimag ki batti jalao.

I wish a Very happy new year to all my friends, relatives,NIT DGPians, DPSians,SSGians, FIITJEEians and Indians...lolzzz. TC, God Bless!! :):)
